Valentines Wedding Blog

Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate love, and that is why it is such a popular day to get married each year. There are so many tips and tricks to plan the perfect Valentine’s Day wedding, check out our list for our faves.

Valentine’s day is all about hearts, with colors like pink and red reigning supreme. Bring as much pink and red to the wedding as possible in the florals, decor, invites, and even your wedding party attire.

Show some Love! Bring heart-shapes into the theme. Some great places you can put hearts without it looking tacky is the invite, your jewelry, signage, your guestbook, and flower girls can hold a heart-shaped item instead of flower petals. How cute is that? One guestbook that is super popular right now features heart-shaped cut-outs.

If you do have a Valentine’s Day wedding, make sure you prepare for higher costs in florals, as this is the biggest floral day of the year and prices can increase by as much as 30%.

Another great idea to make your Valentine’s day wedding unique and beautiful is making the invitations fit the theme. Not only can you do heart-themed, but there are so many ways to make your invitation romantic, including your Save the Date with photos of the couple madly in love.  You can include small details like the wording and the images and imagery details, or even a few cupids.

Love Notes are an amazing way to show your love on Valentine’s Day. Writing your significant other a love note, or leaving them a note on a handkerchief or their shoes is a detail you can keep private and have great photos of later.

When decorating the venue make sure you have a ton of uplighting, especially red or fuschia which can really make the room stand out and give it that Valentine’s feel you may be looking for!

When ending the night, a dessert bar will be a huge hit on Valentine’s Day! Since some couples won’t’ be able to celebrate or get their sweet treat, I guarantee you the dessert bar will be a hit. Some great snacks you can have on it are chocolate strawberries, heart-shaped cookies, and heart-shaped donuts. Another thing you can do is send your guest home with a box of chocolates as a favor.

I hope some of these ideas brought you inspiration for planning a Valentine’s Day Event. While you may incur higher costs like florals, having a Valentine’s Day wedding is such an amazing way to show your love and celebrate it!
